Make The Future Detroit featuring Shell Eco-Marathon Americas
Shell Eco-marathon is a unique competition that challenges students around the world to design, build and drive the most energy-efficient car. With three annual events in Asia, Americas and Europe, student teams take to the track to see who goes further on the least amount of fuel. Shell Eco-marathon Americas returns to the Motor City in 2017, April 27-30, where the engineers of tomorrow will compete on the city streets of Detroit, the birthplace of mobility.
Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix
Start Your Summer with the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, June 2-4, 2017. The event will feature the cars of the Verizon IndyCar Series, exotic sports cars of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the Motor City Muscle of the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli and the high-flying trucks of the SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks presented by TRAXXAS. Off-track activity includes the Meijer Fan Zone, MotorCity Casino Hotel Entertainment Stage, Detroit sports stars, extreme sports demonstrations and more! The weekend collectively is referred to as the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix and in 2017 it will feature the only doubleheader weekend on the Verizon IndyCar Series schedule - the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans.
Eastpointe Cruisin' Gratiot
In its 19th year, the Eastpointe Cruisin' Gratiot embodies the community spirit of celebration of our love affair with the car. The event engulfs the entire week, featuring cruise nights leading up to the big event as well as the Idol contest on cruise Saturday! All efforts go to benefit local charities.
EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition
EyesOn Design is one of America's premier automotive events. Each year, the event attracts members of the transportation design community, collectors, and the general public to celebrate and reflect on design. Vehicles are chosen based on the year's theme by invitation only, and between 200 and 300 vehicles are at the show on Father's Day.
Join us to celebrate one of the innovative eras of American automotive history - 1933-1976. The streets of Greenfield Village will be filled with hundreds of classic cars, vintage trucks, motorcycles - even a fire engine or two. They're all here, from brawny, muscle cars to the real straight-out-of-the-showroom cars you and your parents grew up with. Stay late for the Saturday evening cruise.
Sloan Museum Auto Fair
This event is a fun-filled two-day show with plenty of music, entertainment, vendors and of course, automobiles! The Flint Cultural Center campus becomes home to more than 600 of the best looking cars, trucks and motorcycles around. The event starts Saturday at 9am. Come back on Sunday at 9am to see everything again and find out who won the awards! Enjoy feature cars, exhibits, kids activities, music and much more!
Downriver has a love affair with cars! We love the classic '57 Thunderbirds and the '55 Chevys, the '69 Camaro and the '70 Chevelle SS muscle cars, all of the Corvettes and the 40-plus years of the Ford Mustang, to name a few. What else would the tenth largest city in Michigan need. But a top notch car cruise. Travel down 4.6 Miles of road, through the middle of the commercial district past one of Michigan's Premier shopping malls, Westland Mall. Classic cars and hot rods line the streets. And join in at different locations along the way. Including the Wayne Ford Civic League on Wayne Road, just south of Ford Road, Also at Westland Bowl for our Vendor area and Drive in movie. Just like the old days.
Car Capitol Car Show
The R.E. Olds Transportation Museum Car Capital Auto & Bike Show features all makes and models of cars and motorcycles. The State Capitol Building, serving as a backdrop for this fun filled day, will be open for free tours. In its 24th year, this is a family friendly show not to be missed.
Concours d'Elegance of America
The 2017 Concours d'Elegance of America will be held at The Inn at St. John's on Sunday, July 30th. The site offers its handsome grounds for showcasing the invited world-class vehicles as well as a luxury hotel on the premises; it incorporates charming meeting rooms and fine dining facilities.

Back to the Bricks Cruise Weekend is celebrating its 13th year in 2017. Last year, Back to the Bricks attracted a record-breaking number of vehicles. The weekend gets started early with rolling cruises and tune-up events in the area.
The Woodward Dream Cruise
The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one-day celebration of classic car culture, attracting more than 1 million visitors and over 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles. This world-famous event gets underway with the Official Woodward Dream Cruise Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in Ferndale.
Pure Michigan 400
Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It's the love of racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike.
This is a true celebration of classic car culture, congregating in 7.5 miles of beautiful park setting. Cruisin' Hines has grown in only a few years to 40,000 classic cars and hot rods. Cruise the 7.5 miles of Hines Drive enjoying beautiful scenery and the historic Nankin Mills, one of Henry Ford's Village Industry buildings. This is also the only Cruise in Southeast Michigan that closes the road to only Classics and Hot Rods.
Old Car Festival
This Old Car Festival weekend, take in the spectacle as the streets and grounds of Greenfield Village are filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of hundreds of authentic vehicles from the 1890s through 1932. Enjoy a self-guided tour through this fabulous expositions and talk to proud owners about their treasured vehicles.
